Developed an augmented experience for people to enjoy the individuality of their skin and to increase understanding of body trauma.

ScAR aims to provide people who have experienced skin injuries or were born with scars with an immersive experience of self-expression. The cult of ‘normalcy’ reached its twisted expression in today's society with an aggressive pursuit of normalcy or the so-called beauty standard that brought violent stress to skin-injured people. As a result, people suffer from skin trauma in both mental and physical ways, as well as difficult mental and psychological problems accompanied by low self-esteem, confidence, and stress. This project aims to let people with skin injuries or scars adorn themselves in a virtual-extended way, allowing them to embrace their individuality.

At the same time, this project also aims to allow individuals to celebrate their scars by transforming them into unique and personal virtual patterns.
